@CoreyWriting I very rarely respond on social media but I cannot allow you to perpetuate such a lie about HBCU’s. They represent academic excellence.

We need to stop the mythologizing of HBCUs. They were necessary at a point in time, but now they are largely just mediocre colleges. I remember a kid that picked an HBCU over Harvard and Yale to "be around his people." It's a corrosive and stupid ideology.

As a Black person, you have the rest of your life to be a minority in just about every space you’re in. Why not spend 4 years experiencing what it’s like to be the majority in your space. Mentally, it builds your confidence up and apparently it benefits your health too. 🤷🏾♂️
