During the official opening of the 27th International Business Fair in Mostar, Amir Gross Kabiri, Chairman of M.T. Abraham Group, welcomed the official delegation and presented the Group’s strategic development plans related to the Southern Gas Interconnection pipeline. The Group outlined the steps taken to reinforce the position of Aluminij Industries, with aluminium recycling and casting of high-scrap-content products set to expand Aluminij’s production capabilities further and meet growing market demand for sustainable aluminium products. This supports the Group’s broader vision of strengthening Europe’s aluminium production capacity in order to ensure a secure supply of aluminium products to European markets. Among the distinguished guests were H.E. Ms. Borjana Krišto, Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina; H.E. Mr. Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia; H.E. M.T. Abraham Group hosted representatives of the Embassy of the United States of America in BiH at Aluminij Industries in Mostar. During the visit, Mr. John Ginkel, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., was briefed on the company’s strategic development plans related to the Southern Interconnection Gas pipeline. The visit took place within the broader framework of the United States’ continued economic engagement in BiH and its support for initiatives that contribute to energy stability, industrial development and long-term economic growth. M.T. Abraham Group Signs MOU for Long-Term U.S. LNG Supply On Tuesday, February 24th, the Transatlantic Gas Security Summit was held in Washington, D.C., hosted by Chairman of the National Energy Dominance Council and Secretary of the Interior, Doug Burgum, and Vice Chairman of the Council and Secretary of Energy, Chris Wright. At the summit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Chairman of the Israeli-owned M.T. Abraham Group, Amir Gross Kabiri, and Chairman of Atlantic-See LNG Trade, Alexandros Exarchou, establishing the framework for a long-term liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply agreement. The agreement secures a stable supply of U.S. LNG for Aluminij Industries, a subsidiary of M.T. Abraham Group and one of the largest aluminium producers in Southeastern Europe. The signed MOU lays a foundation for a 20-year LNG supply Agreement between M.T. Abraham Group and Atlantic-See LNG Trade, which will be finalized and be signed by the end of 2026. The LNG will be supplied by Venture Global Commodities, LLC via the Southern Gas Interconnection pipeline and utilized by Aluminij Industries’ planned Combined-Cycle Gas-Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The CCGT power plant will secure a stable electricity supply for Aluminij’s primary aluminium smelter operation. This undertaking represents the most significant U.S. LNG supply to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region. The transaction is part of President Donald J. Trump's strategic goals to advance transatlantic cooperation on secure, diversified natural gas supply to Europe, including increased flows of U.S. LNG to Eastern Europe and the Western Balkans. Abraham Grupa potpisala Memorandum o razumijevanju za dugoročnu opskrbu američkim LNG-om U utorak, 24. veljače, u Washingtonu, D.C., održan je Transatlantski samit o sigurnosti opskrbe plinom, u organizaciji predsjednika Nacionalnog vijeća za energetsku dominaciju i ministra unutarnjih poslova, Douga Burguma, te potpredsjednika Vijeća i ministra energetike, Chrisa Wrighta. Na samitu su Memorandum o razumijevanju potpisali predsjednik izraelske M.T. Abraham Grupe, Amir Gross Kabiri i predsjednik Atlantic-See LNG Tradea, Alexandros Exarchou, kojim se utvrđuje okvir za dugoročni ugovor o opskrbi ukapljenim prirodnim plinom (LNG). Ovim sporazumom osigurava se stabilna isporuka američkog ukapljenog prirodnog plina za Aluminij Industriju, podružnicu M.T. Abraham Grupe i jednog od najvećih proizvođača aluminija u jugoistočnoj Europi. Potpisani Memorandum o razumijevanju postavlja temelje za 20-godišnji ugovor o opskrbi ukapljenim prirodnim plinom između M.T. Abraham Grupe i Atlantic-See LNG Tradea, koji će biti finaliziran i potpisan do kraja 2026. godine. Ukapljeni prirodni plin isporučivat će kompanija Venture Global Commodities, putem plinovoda Južne plinske interkonekcije, a koristit će se u planiranoj kombiniranoj plinsko-parnoj elektrani (CCGT) Aluminij Industrije. Kombinirana plinsko-parna elektrana osigurat će stabilnu opskrbu električnom energijom za primarnu proizvodnju aluminija u Aluminijevoj talionici. Ovaj projekt predstavlja najznačajniji projekt opskrbe američkim ukapljenim prirodnim plinom Bosni i Hercegovini i regiji. Spomenuta transakcija dio je strateških ciljeva predsjednika Donalda J. Trumpa usmjerenih na jačanje transatlantske suradnje u području sigurne i diversificirane opskrbe prirodnim plinom za Europu, uključujući povećane isporuke američkog ukapljenog prirodnog plina prema istočnoj Europi i zapadnom Balkanu. Danas je na Židovskom groblju u Mostaru obilježen Međunarodni dan sjećanja na žrtve Holokausta. Uz molitvu Kadiš održana je ceremonija paljenja šest svijeća u spomen na šest milijuna nevino stradalih Židova. Paljenju svijeća su pristupili predsjednik Hrvatskog narodnog sabora BiH, dr. Dragan Čović, predstavnik veleposlanstva države Izrael, gosp. Ernest Grin, predstavnik Židovske opštine Mostar, gosp. Zoran Botić, starješina Saborne crkve Svete Trojice Mostar, gosp. Duško Kojić, provincijal Hercegovačke Franjevačke provincije, fra Jozo Grbeš, gradonačelnik Grada Mostara, dr. Mario Kordić i predsjednica Vlade Hercegovačko-neretvanske županije, gđa Marija Buhač. Zajedničko sjećanje na žrtve Holokausta jača međusobno poštovanje, toleranciju i mir, te podsjeća nas na odgovornost da se mržnja i diskriminacija nikada ne ponove. Zahvaljujemo lokalnoj zajednici na prisutnosti i podršci na ovaj važan dan.

This day is a reminder of our duty to condemn Holocaust crimes and all forms of racist hatred and to keep the memory of the victims, survivors, rescuers and liberators alive. In a world where Jews still face danger because of their religion and identity, the State of Israel remains the central guarantor of Jewish safety. Never again is not a slogan, it is a moral obligation. - Danas se prisjećamo Holokausta, zločina bez presedana u ljudskoj povijesti i sustavnog genocida koji su počinile nacistička Njemačka i njezini suradnici, u kojem je ubijeno šest milijuna Židova. Ovaj dan nas podsjeća na našu dužnost da osudimo zločine Holokausta i sve oblike rasne mržnje te da očuvamo sjećanje na žrtve, preživjele, spasitelje i osloboditelje. U svijetu u kojem se Židovi i dalje suočavaju s prijetnjama zbog svoje vjere i identiteta, Država Izrael ostaje ključni jamac sigurnosti židovskog naroda.
