@KylePorterNS I think you are right, and listening to a lot of the previews and picks etc, a lot of people seem to be sleeping on him.

There is an irony around the fact that Rory — because of the tidal wave of content that has surrounded him as a champion — hasn’t really ever entered Round 1 of the Masters more under the radar as an actual player than he is right now.

@KylePorterNS I am looking forward to being able to watch Rory and not feel like I can’t even enjoy the tournament if he isn’t playing well. The pressure is finally off. I can relax again.

@myhumangetsme @FINALLEVEL You’re right the sounds weren’t theirs, but it took them years of practice to learn to use those tools, to understand rhythm, melody, mixing etc.. AI doesn’t just follow your prompts it actually generates and creates, the end result isn’t truly your work. In my opinion anyway 🤷‍♂️

@themurn @FINALLEVEL Okay then by that measure what did they create using drum machines and synthesizers? The sounds weren't theirs, how those sounds were created weren't theirs, the only thing there is the human inputs. Just like AI.

People had the same problem with Drum Machines and Synthesizers. Hip Hop would not exist without Tech.

@myhumangetsme @FINALLEVEL I do use ai, in my own work, it is a very useful thing it makes my like easier, but I don’t look at the end product and think I created that, I am happy with it but I know it was created by the ai

Have you ever created a video snippet using AI? You have to think about writing in a new way, you're simultaneously telling and directing a story. And the AI still has to give you something that you want, so you're having to edit and "negotiate" to get a good outcome. How is that not creation?

@KylePorterNS I think you are both kid of right. He is a very interesting character and what he says and thinks about golf are interesting, but that doesn't make him exciting to watch. There aren't many thrills when he is playing, if he is leading you can pretty much turn off as it's over.

Scottie is back at Phoenix today. My wife told me the other day she thinks he's incredibly boring. I think he is maybe the most fascinating superstar in all of professional sports right now.
