You were my friend, my mother, and a true matriarch of this nation. My words are not enough to express the depth of my sorrow at this moment. If only I could share the pain of Kimathi, Zanetor, Yaa Asantewaa, and our dear Princess Amina, I would take a portion of their grief upon myself just to ease their burden. What a beautiful spirit we were blessed to have in Ghana ,our First Lady, our Mother of Strength, our Symbol of Grace. Your elegance, your compassion, your love for children and women, your leadership, and your fashion sense made you more than a First Lady ,you became a beacon of Ghanaian womanhood. I just saw you two weeks ago, radiant as ever. It’s hard to believe you’re gone, but I know you’re resting in divine peace. Your legacy will live on,in your daughters, in your people, and in the heart of every Ghanaian who was touched by your presence. May your soul find eternal rest in the arms of the Almighty. Today is a Black Wednesday in the heart of Ghana. With profound sadness and an aching heart, I extend my deepest and most sincere condolences to the families of those who perished in the tragic plane crash that has shaken our nation. Ghana has lost more than lives,we have lost leaders, servants, and patriots. Among the deceased are some of our nation’s most dedicated public figures: the Honorable Minister of Defence, the Chairman of the NDC, the Minister of Environment, former Members of Parliament, and other distinguished statesmen and stateswomen,pillars of our government and voices of our democracy. To the grieving families, I share in your sorrow. To the people of Ghana, I grieve with you. And to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, I extend not only my condolences but my heartfelt support. Losing such key figures from your cabinet and governance structure is a pain no leader should endure alone. You have lost colleagues, comrades, and confidants. The nation has lost a generation of wisdom. This tragedy is not partisan,it is national. It is not political,it is human. And it reminds us of the fragility of leadership, the unpredictability of life, and the urgent need to unite as one people. Today, Ghana mourns. But as we lower our flags, let us raise our conscience. As we shed tears, let us find direction. And as we bury our fallen, let us rise with a renewed commitment to protect, cherish, and honor the lives of those who serve our nation. We must pray not to bury our future. We must pray to build it. Let us not continue to lose our finest to fate. Let us strengthen the systems that protect them. This is a painful hour in our history. I am a firm believer of championing innovation and the responsible advancement of technology in Ghana and across the continent. However, I condemn the use of AI and other digital tools to distort facts, mislead the public, or sow confusion among citizens. I call on the Cyber Security Authority of Ghana and all relevant agencies to act swiftly and decisively in investigating these matters, identifying the perpetrators, and implementing stronger safeguards against such abuses. The safety of our digital space, the credibility of our public figures, and the trust of the Ghanaian people must be protected at all costs. Let it be clear: while we embrace the future of technology, we stand firmly against its weaponization for misinformation and deception.

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that I extend sincere condolences to the Royal Family of Mampong, the good people of Mampong and the entire Asante Kingdom on the passing of Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, Mamponghene. Daasebre Osei Bonsu II was a distinguished traditional leader, a symbol of wisdom, valour and selfless service, whose reign was marked by dignity, peace and the steadfast preservation of our cherished cultural heritage. His immense contribution to the development of Mampong, and by extension, the Asante Kingdom and our beloved nation, will be remembered with deep gratitude and admiration. The loss of Daasebre is not only a profound bereavement to the Royal House of Mampong, but also to the Asante Kingdom and the entire nation, for he embodied the spirit of unity, resilience and leadership that are the hallmarks of our traditional institutions. As we mourn this great son of the land, we pray that the Almighty grant his soul eternal rest and provide comfort, strength and fortitude to the Royal Family of Mampong, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the people of Mampong and the entire Asanteman in these difficult times.May Daasebre’s legacy continue to inspire generations to come.
