I want to back to Lelesha and spend at least 5 days. It's an amazing place, and I kid you not, the rooms are exactly as seen. Also I have never ever tasted oats like they make them.

I'm very wary of allies, those who call themselves allies. I'm very wary of people who work in organisations that preach allyship. I've come to learn that some of them just do it for the pay and don't really care about the minoritised groups they claim to serve.

Often times cases of sexual assault/ rape go unreported because young people have no faith in the system. Perpetrators walk and get a chance to repeat their crimes.

Crazy how I've lived in Zambia my whole life, and the biggest bullet politicians have against eachother is "gayism". Not corruption, or combating poverty, or how many children are being defiled, or improving our agricultural sector. Nope. Just sexual orientation. Embarrassing.

As queer people we need to be careful who we have as “friends” lest you end up being used as an example for foolishness because the people around you can’t understand that there’s several valid reasons for a lesbian to get a beard.

It's always cowards hiding behind ghost accounts that will try to drag you. The accusations that my sexual orientation is "politically sponsored" is a dry joke. You refuse to admit that people are different, so you end up creating all these fantastic theories. I make you busy.

Journalists who had not spoken to me in years suddenly remembered I exist. Today one of them from CBC insulted me because I could not forward her the Sistah Sistah number. I asked her to respect people's feelings even at the expense of her job and sister gal snapped.

I used to be excited when journalists would call me to feature on their shows. Until I realised they only do this at their convenience, ie, 16 days against GBV, women's day etc. When all this BS was happening, journalists remembered my name.
