I was very saddened to hear that Joe Paldus had passed away last Sunday. He was one of the originators of coupled-cluster theory for applications to chemistry, and also a great gentleman. (I heard this from @PiecuchPiotr). #Theoretical_chemistry #Coupled_Cluster_Theory

Prof. Josef Paldus, a true legend in the history of many-electron correlation problem whose seminal work on coupled-cluster and unitary group approaches has inspired generations, passed away last Sunday. He was my postdoctoral mentor, collaborator, and friend. Rest in Peace, Joe.
