I keep having to relearn my keyboard shortcuts every time I switch between Mac and PC. It's like my muscle memory gets super cross-wired. Maybe I should just switch Windows to Mac or vice versa. Hmmmm.

@NeilHumphreys The 1.4M was definitely a outlier and the owners were definitely severely penalised because they were 1 year into a 5 year period. But the fact the agent dared to ask for 1.4M and someone was willing to pay it is definitely insane.

@NeilHumphreys You're definitely right. But these are also the outliers and there are definitely more affordable options, especially direct from HDB. But I just finished some research for a client and saw that the market greatly stabilised after the insane 2008 spike & crash.

It's as if not giving that increment that your employee didn't know they could ask for would cost you less than hiring someone new, spending on recruiting, onboarding, productivity loss and actually wage difference.

Microsoft doubled its employee salary budget to address inflation and keep talent from leaving. It’s almost as if it’s more productive (and cheaper) to keep your current employees happy than to replace them when they leave.
