Today is always a nostalgic day for me. Six years ago, I walked out of a Nebraska prison with no clear idea where life would take me next. I knew driving with marijuana in my vehicle was illegal, and I made that decision anyway. It cost me—my freedom, and it caused real pain for my friends, my family, and especially my mother. Twenty-eight years of life led up to one bad decision that resulted in 18 months behind bars. I’ve always believed God has a plan, and when I came home, I found myself stepping into a stock market that had just experienced the COVID crash. I had no experience, no real knowledge—just a willingness to learn. Nothing about the market felt scary. Every day felt like an opportunity. A chance to grow. A chance to change my life. I never imagined success would come as quickly as it did. I recently made a post about the mentors who helped me along the way, and I’ll always be grateful for the knowledge they shared. Through this journey, I’ve also met and built friendships with some incredible people. It’s honestly hard to put into words how grateful I am for everything this path has given me. We all see traders using AI to empower their work, but it’s incredible seeing students using AI to empower positive change. Nobody knows what the future holds. There will be bumps. I can’t emphasize enough the insanity going on rn in front mont WTI. Especially vs Brent or June WTI. Blow-up level moves for anyone trading spreads. You won’t necessarily notice this in equity world, but the financial futures market is legit fat-tailing.

After recently watching the doc, Inside the Manosphere (thx @roshea1992), you can’t help but think that is the exact population Trump appeals to. The machismo, the false confidence, the perceived view that the whole world has slighted you and is against you, surrounding oneself by yes men. But what happens when false confidence and unchecked misguided beliefs gets you stuck on the wrong side in the highest stakes situation imaginable? Oil now tops $110 following the speech (someone big absolutely getting taken to the cleaners short WTI as the spread blows out vs Brent) and if 2-3 more weeks of escalation occur, it’ll be a nightmare situation for the oil market. You can read about the downstream impacts already hitting impoverished countries and we will feel it at home as well. Even if this is all a big bluff and posturing, to what end? Ever day of delay gets us closer to the edge while we move the goalposts and posture w crazy threats we will never carry out. Hit the power plants? To what end? Causing suffering of the Iranian people doesn’t guarantee a regime change as we are finding out now. The swamp wasn’t drained and who the hell wants a new Middle East ground war? I guess my point in this post: there is definitely a part of the population that things there is some master plan here and that making a meme out of war goes hard… but there is also a significant % of the population w IQ below 80 that is deep in the fire and fury Manosphere.
