@RyanHoliday When challenge comes up, take it as the opportunity to learn. You’ll find it more interesting to solve. Less stress too. Sometimes all you need is open minded and change your perspective.

The Negative: Hours of daily doomscrolling. The result? Stagnation and a mindset of victimhood.

We often talk about compounding gains, but have you considered the Ripple Effect? One small habit doesn't stay in a vacuum––it touches everything.

I used to start every day in zombie mode: • Sucked into 24-hour news • Doomscrolling social media • Replying to every notification But then I started to use this simple 5-minute journal prompt—and it changed everything: I call it the Morning Kickstart and it only has 3 questions: 1. What’s top of mind? Every morning when I wake up, I have dozens of things swirling around in my head. • Dreams I had • Workouts to try • Ideas to write about • Errands to complete • People to reach out to • Anything and everything This clogs my brain and keeps me from thinking clearly about the things that matter. So I start by simply listing out 10 bullet points of anything I’m thinking about to get them out of my head and onto the page. I’ll add a little bit of commentary to each, quickly realizing they aren’t important (despite feeling urgent just a few moments before). After a few minutes, my mind is clear, and my brain feels “awake,” ready to move on to the day ahead. 2. How am I feeling? Nothing fancy here. I’m just bringing a little self-awareness to my morning state so I’m not going through the day on autopilot. If I’m not feeling good for too many days in a row, I know I need to make a change. And the opposite holds true as well: if I’m feeling good for several days in a row, I know I need to double down on that routine. 3. What am I excited about that’s coming up? Finally, I end the session on a high note with a rush of dopamine and serotonin. I brain dump a list of everything that’s coming up I’m excited about across any time horizon: • Today • This week • This month • The next year • The next decade • The next 50 years Sometimes I only talk about today. Other times I only talk about the next 50 years. Either way, this floods me with gratitude and good energy as I picture all the events on the horizon. And that’s it! From there, I jump right into my day. Now, the best part about this prompt? I can make it as short or as long as I’d like. If I only have 2-3 minutes, I’ll just jot a few bullets on my phone. If I have all morning, I’ll go deeper into each and soak in the silence of writing with a morning coffee. Either way, my morning is off on the right foot. If you’re looking to start journaling or improve your current routine, give it a try and see if it works for you.

@JoyceMeyer This reminds me of something I read this morning: "God loves you not because you are worthy but because you are His." @craiggroeschel Such a powerful reminder––especially when we sin and fall into self-doubt. God's love remains, and we can always repent and turn back to Him.
