Culture, Politics, Self Improvement through an Islamic lens. Fight the ego/shaytan within & the ego/shaytan of society. DO BETTER BE BETTER inshallah.

The cross is the most offensive idea in Islam. It’s also the most true. As a Muslim, nothing disgusted me more than the thought of God stripped, mocked, and nailed to wood like a criminal. An insult to His majesty. Here’s what flipped it for me. The offense IS the glory. A God too proud to stoop could never reach me where I was — at the bottom, in the mess, in the shame. It was His willingness to go that low that proved how high His love actually was. “He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death — even death on a cross. Therefore God exalted Him.” Philippians 2:8-9. It revealed His amazing glory. The lower He stooped, the greater He proved to be. The most offensive idea I ever encountered turned out to be the truest thing I’ve ever known. Praise Jesus our Lord.

This week the Senate will vote to merge our military’s most sensitive & secretive capabilities with Israel. This merger is buried within the massive NDAA and they’re hoping you won’t notice. Merging our military with a foreign country is a treasonous betrayal of our sovereignty. Call your senators & tell them to vote no on the NDAA until the merger w/ Israel (section 219) is taken out. Tell them that we will never support merging our military with a foreign nation. The senate switchboard number is: (202) 224-3121.

If Jesus was just a prophet, why was he the only one to have a miraculous birth from a virgin? No other prophets received a birth like this. The only thing that comes close is being conceived to barren / elderly parents. In the Christian paradigm, the virgin birth makes perfect sense because it is consistent with Jesus' sinless nature. In Islam, it makes no sense and feels completely random. Jesus is still only a prophet, yet He's uniquely born of a virgin with no comparable theological explanation beyond it being a miracle. Why give Him a birth unlike every other prophet if He's just another prophet?
