is every season of the pitt going to be a version of “man who obviously shouldn’t be at work goes to work anyways and everyone else suffers for it” or are we going to move away from that at some point

ultimately, my problem with this season is that nothing ever sticks. robby yells, people stare, all of our characters parrot their dialogue from the previous episode. we move on to the next scene so we can argue, rinse, repeat. no one ever makes any headway.

this might be a stupid question idk. but why is langdon allowed to pick up more patients? samira is the same level as him and was only allowed to join orlando’s case because it was continuation of care. i know he’s a senior resident but shouldn’t he be in charting jail too

forgive me but if your show is made for streaming but you have to cut down so much of the screentime just to be shown on network (to the detriment of major players in your cast AND your proposed format) then why is it even made for streaming

«the pitt writers” and it’s fully just noah wyle writing off samira and cutting her scenes while also sidelining everyone else because people like their characters more than they like robby. i can’t prove it but i just know

in season 1 every character and their struggles existed in their own right, now some of them primarily serve robby’s storyline. it’s one thing to create new characters like noelle and duke, but it’s another to reduce already developed characters to plot devices for robby

Part of the dissonance from Pitt s1 to s2 is s1 gave you peeks of 18 Chekov’s guns you had to keep track of which kept the show frantic and high octane. This season has a cannon that’s been smoking for 14 eps and everyone knows it’s going to fizzle out.

i would’ve loved a conversation around bias and the paranoia around working with a former addict with whitaker/langdon… or even whitaker standing up for his friend in a substantial, specific way… but instead we got whatever that was 😭😭😭

season 1 is robby having the worst day and season 2 is him taking it out on everyone but for seemingly no reason cause there’s no correlation

i would have an easier time digesting robby being a caustic asshole to his residents if the show wasn't being actively hostile to those same characters. there's nothing wrong on the surface with an unlikable protagonist, but only if the show wasn't supporting his behaviour

The Pitt season 2 has been constant buildup with no pay off and too many failed attempts at big emotional moments that haven't been earned, probably one of the worst seasons of tv I've seen in recent years

sorry for not getting myself to care more about robby’s bike or robby crying or robby yelling or robby being depressed than samira being faded out of the show completely, samira getting absolutely no screen time, samira’s feelings being brushed off, samira not being in the next ep’s trailer, SAMIRA BEING IGNORED MORE AND MORE EACH EPISODE. we have bigger problems people i suggest you wake up

season 1 was stressful and chaotic and fun. the stakes felt high. but there was still time to take a beat, to care about the patients, to care about the characters personal baggage. season 2 just falls flat

and season 2 is just robby rubbing his neck and talking about his bike while his friend is at the ED for a full checkup just because (even tho they clearly need the beds for actual emergencies)

in season 1 of the pitt you have robby coming into work on a day he shouldn’t have been, the anniversary of his mentor that he hasn’t worked since, and you clearly see how working in the ED on THAT particular day is affecting him negatively
