😭😭 my mom doesn’t exactly know how much I make. She is well off but never splurges on luxuries for herself. Today she went to buy some glasses, and she VC’d me to show some of the pairs. She liked one of them and it was like $1,200 and went like hell nah. I told her to get it, and I’ll pay for it. She said something along the lines “when you start making 5-6 lakhs a month ($4,000-5,000) then save up and get it for me” Spent the next 30 minutes getting her to believe me I make way more, and only then she bought the glasses. Very wholesome day.

unpopular opinion : "AI is not the solver...you are!!" have a problem statement?? don't jump into AI.. first note down your thoughts and approach... then take AI's output for reference or build the complete solution in AI. Having clarity >> begging AI to solve it.

could’ve caved for the money and shipped junk I didn’t believe in. Instead I let him go. If AI works for him, great. If not, he’ll come back smarter. I refused because: Quality > quick cash What would you have done? Drop it below.

02 | 03 Client: “Hey, one month is too much… this is no brainer, you should be able to do this in 2 days.” Me: “2 days is way too short. We need proper research + brainstorming… bare minimum 7 days.” Client: “Not gonna work for me… let me try with AI on my own.”

UI UX Design Hot Take I feel like UI UX Designers were babied and pampered for a long time now in the industry without doing a bulk of their Job A UI UX Designer can be earning 100K USD a year but does not know jack about making their text scale in the Browser A UI UX Designer can be earning 120K USD a year but don't know jack about designing for screen readers or any assistive tech A UI UX Designer will earn 100k a year but you talk to them about the main design tool for the browser which is CSS and they know nothing about CSS - They don't know when & how to implement autofocus. - They don't know page architecture - They don't know conditional rendering etc This was mostly the case in the industry. It was mostly Figma Design, not UI UX Design That's why I am grateful for the change the industry is experiencing. And even now, Many UI UX Designers are just learning how to prompt a UI and have it work, no proper experience design. Just slop. What some UI UX Designers today can prompt and build, a non UI UX Designer will prompt and build
