Marciana-sensei fact lesson 📚#4! Did you know one of the darkest pieces of NIKKE lore isn’t about Raptures at all… but the sky🌤️? The Dome of Eternity, the “sky” above the Ark, is actually an artificial projection designed to make humanity feel like they’re still living on the surface. In Trony’s story in BOOMS DAY, there was a time when the truth was briefly exposed to the public in the form of advertisement projection. People suddenly realized or remembered that the sky above them wasn’t real and that humanity had been living underground all along. The result was catastrophic! Many people suffered panic attacks, emotional breakdowns, and severe existential crises. Some couldn’t cope with the realization that the world they knew was essentially an illusion. The aftermath became so serious that it reportedly led to widespread mania and even a wave of suicides throughout the Ark. This event tragically shaped Trony’s entire life. As a child, her dream was to one day see the real sky. When the truth was revealed, she thought everyone would finally understand her dream. Instead, she watched people around her fall into despair, convincing her that some truths are simply too painful for humanity to accept. A reminder that some of NIKKE’s darkest stories aren’t about Raptures or battles… they’re about what happens when people lose the reality they built their lives around. Hope you liked today’s lesson!
