ok i processed some of my thoughts though they’re no less angry and dissatisfied so here’s a gigantic thread because I need to put them in writing lest they drive me crazy. needless to say, if you enjoyed the finale (good for you) you’re not gonna like this #go3spoilers

the problem isn't that crowley chose humanity!! it's that they framed it as humanity VS them, when it was always humanity AND them. they could've created the godless universe, and the 'price to pay' would've been for them to become human instead of erasure, same ending but better

Seeing Michael tearing up as he talks about the finale and doing it with david and hearing David saying he doesn't realise that it's over is just making me cry even more #go3spoilers

I was hoping to make a GO edit, but now I just don't know. Have a feeling that if I do it's gonna be super depressing 😃

Okay yeah my problem with the ending might not be even stem from them turning human. I think it stems from the fact it’s not even Aziraphale and Crowley. They don’t have the same memories. I don’t give a shit really at the end because it’s not really them

I slept on it and dislike the ending more than yesterday 🫠

I would even be moderately fine if they became mortal, but with their memories. But they could also be like: Crowley: "I'm glad you listened to me" and Aziraphale: "Like you said the world still needs a small miracle from time to time" and so we see they considered turning human

I can see Aziraphale writing a whole new book of life with free will and all that and then at the very end Crowley is like: "I think you forgot something." And Aziraphale is like "Oh." And then there's a cut and we see them just walking or dining, holding hands, enjoying life 😭

So I see the appeal of the ending . I understand them finding e/o on their own terms etc., but to me it's just not them. Not the proper them who went through so much together and were shaped by it. So it just leaves a bitter taste for me #go3spoilers
