@Mimi_yakigar The same people who were buying and selling before the illegal immigrants came.
English

Mass migration is not just about people leaving; it’s about losing customers, workers, and businesses. South Africa, if everyone leaves, who will be left to buy from you and sell to you?

Over 4,000 Malawian citizens have gathered at a location in Durban, South Africa waiting to get deported following the anti-immigration protests. Source: @GagasiFMNews

@bofrot1cedi A passport is a travel document by the way, not a permit to live in another country. The right to reside is governed by immigration laws and valid permits. That said, violence is unacceptable and should be condemned without reservation.
English

This is the excuse you guys give for being Xenophobic .
Is this man not a legal immigrant?
He was clearly trying to show you his passport.
You just hate on your fellow black man and it has nothing to do with illegal immigrants!!

NOT a single country in African allows illegal foreigners. Why must SA 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 be an exception?
English

@mazwiblose2 Why should people who entered illegally be rewarded with legal documentation? If fraudulent documents were used to enter the country, how can we be certain of their true identities and backgrounds?
English

The EFF has consistently maintained that all foreign nationals in South Africa must be documented. Those who oppose this position often shout the loudest without offering any understanding of how documentation can help resolve our immigration challenges.
Currently, in eThekwini, more than 5,000 Malawian nationals are being documented to facilitate their voluntary return to Malawi.
Documentation is not a threat, it is part of the solution to effective migration management, legal compliance, and the protection of human rights.
The EFF rejects both undocumented migration and xenophobic vigilantism. The solution lies in proper documentation and lawful processes to determine the legal status of individuals within our borders.
Hysteria and mob justice will never take South Africa forward.

As of 2026,
- Nigeria has 300,000+ illegals migrants from Ghana, Chad, Niger, Cameroon and Benin.
- 870,000 identified foreign nationals overstaying their visas from South Africa, China, India, etc
- 127,000 asylum and refuge seekers majorly from central Africa.
Guess what, Nigerians don’t even care more less going about killing them like you murderers in South Africa.

@Sentletse If these countries were to close their borders, they would also suffer. Trade, investment, logistics, remittances, and market access flow both ways. South Africa is not the only party that benefits from regional relations.
English

If Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Mozambique were to retaliate against this xenophobia and close their borders, what do you think will happen to our economy and the jobs you claim to be fighting for?
This is the problem of stupidity and sponsored activism.
These morons are doing more damage to the country than the presence of foreign nationals being accused of destroying the country.
English

@yabbanx What tangible benefits has gaining independence first brought to you? The fact that you're reacting so emotionally simply because we suggested that people should return to their own countries says quite a lot about the state of that independence.
English

@Thuthu_Zuma Try entering any of our neighbouring countries with a fake passport or no documentation at all, let's see how their authorities respond. Every country has immigration laws and border controls that must be respected. South Africa shouldnt be expected to operate differently.
English

@Thuthu_Zuma Those issues will be dealt with in due course. For now we want to address this matter first. After all, it is difficult to resolve your internal problems while in the company of uninvited guests. Let all visitors leave so we can focus on our dirty linen without interference.

@UnplayableZA Take out Yaya, Sibisi, Forster. Bring in the Bomb squad of Appolis, Moremi, Rele

@sbuda_Jstar @Malatjie_ @officialtwinny Hence I said most of the marches were without damaging of property, obviously there will be those isolated incidences. Had our government been proactive on this matter, we wouldnt be where we are. So we should jointly channel the blame to them as we also condemn violence.
English

@therealPapaNdu @Malatjie_ @officialtwinny KuGompo March led to burning, damaging and looting of a butcher and it was their 2nd anti immigration march.
Without condemning and scrutiny from the public the 3rd march would have resulted the same or worse.
English

Where’s your successful business Ntsiki
Were you not begging for funds on this same timeline couple of days ago?
So where do you expect ordinary South Africans to get that capital?
NtsikiMazwaiMedia@ntsikimazwai
You were brainwashed to chase jobs and not owning your own businesses…..hence you will never have access to the economy. You will just be there to help aboRupert own.
English

@sbuda_Jstar @Malatjie_ @officialtwinny Surely not, but so is not doing anything. Truth is the March&March protests have been without the burning or destruction of public infrastructure. Whatever one's views on it, it has succeeded in forcing government and other stakeholders to confront issues that had been ignored.
English

@therealPapaNdu @Malatjie_ @officialtwinny So is the solution rioting, vigilantism, burning and damaging infrastructure. Will that settle the debate?
