ESPN uses guerrilla marketing like this deliberately to get people talking (good or bad), click links, keep their name front of mind, tune in to "see what happens next", etc. If Ben McDonald has zero interest in his employers $2.8B 🏒 investment, so what? Its not that serious.

Price Guides. We hated em, didn't trust em & thought they were BS. But we all used em & still coexisted together in our collective ignorant bliss. Now, we argue over if a 2AM online sale in Tampa sets the market for the same card at a weekend show in Detroit 2-months later.

@CBJ_Flex Absolutely cool. I can't think of a single other time where a player already announced retirement, signed back with their original team to "unretire" in that uni...AND suit up for a game. Team said he'll play one period tonight. Don't know which. Should be on NHL Network.

@eshecker Happening everywhere. 🏈, ⚾️ & 🏀are all declining. 🏒 virtually non-existent. Popular school sports now are golf, co-ed volleyball, robotics, & gaming. Parents don't want their kids to have to work (nor do the kids) or risk injury but still one day make it & maybe buy them a🏠.

There has been a trend in Western PA high school football that is deeply disturbing. Many programs are asking their opponents for “mercy” because they have low numbers, young players, or just aren’t up to playing football. It’s hard to see this because I want to believe these young men want to play football, but their coaches and administrators are actively submitting letters to their opponents and leagues asking for this to happen. Anyone else across the country seeing this in their districts?
