Case management is a specific set of criteria and goals; if you say you are doing CM for a client, you are all in. Otherwise, you’re an outreach worker or an advocate or a friend.

@weheartseattle @weheartprez So intake, full needs assessment, service planning, and monitoring and evaluation? CMSA standards of practice also includes facilitation and advocacy. Generally folks in these roles have background, specialized skills, and training/experience. All volunteers are doing full CM?

And there are more people housed and doing drugs that no one considers…having a home bestows all kinds of things. Like people not seeing your drug use.

@NikkitaOliver They choose to be unsheltered and vulnerable. If you care that much you could’ve stayed and leveled up your contribution to changing their situation. That would be much harder than a tweet condemning others, I get it.

Instead, you use inflammatory footage and film folks who are trying to help. When’s the last time you tried to have a conversation with a helper vs. getting in faces?

In 2021 Andrea and I were doing outreach at Mercer when anarcho nihilists showed up to “supervise” and “protect” the homeless from us. Our homeless friend that lives there confronted them and said “I fucking live here… you know how much they fucking help us here?“ (see video)
