Reading in Matthew this morning. Specifically 26:14–16, we see one of the most sobering moments when Judas Iscariot goes to the chief priests and asks,
“What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?”
For thirty pieces of silver… he traded proximity to Jesus Christ for personal gain.
It’s easy to read this and think "how could Judas" but it also invites us to reflect on our own hearts:
-Where are we tempted to compromise?
-What are we valuing over Christ?
Betrayal can be subtle, gradual, and rooted in misplaced priorities. Yet even here, God’s plan was not disrupted. What looked like betrayal was part of the path to redemption for the sins of the world!
Don’t trade what’s eternal for what’s temporary. Stay close. Stay surrendered. Stay faithful.
Humanity can be cruel and fail but God’s purpose still prevails. 🙏
