Stablecoins settled trillions of dollars in the last year. More than Visa's annual payment volume. Most people outside crypto don't know this. Equally a lot of people inside crypto don't fully appreciate how significant it is. Merchants already accept them. Businesses use them for treasury. Migrant workers send them home. People in emerging markets hold them as a hedge against local currency devaluation. And the infrastructure is still early. Onramps are clunky whilst regulatory clarity is evolving and integration with traditional commerce is patchy. Even with all of those issues, stablecoin settlement volume is already in the same ballpark as major card networks. The growth from here will be even more dramatic.
