A man recently asked me out on a date. I declined because he wasn’t vaccinated against covid. Have been sharing data & I think I almost have him convinced to get the shot. Look for my upcoming manuscript on harnessing the power of dating as a public health intervention. 😂

So many lessons from my friend @nhannahjones, this morning. Go where you are embraced, celebrated, valued and supported. Go where you don’t have to fight for people to see your brilliance. And, avoid spaces if they barely tolerate you, even if they’re familiar and beloved.

A Sunday reminder to rest.

I started becoming unapologetic about my hair in med school. Change my wig different days in a week, show up with braids , a silk press, a fro… and now my locs. It’s not my job to make other ppl comfortable with my Blackness. #CROWNDay
