@piersmorgan Come on Piers. You know the question of gaining an advantage has nothing to do with a stumping. And yeah, Bairstow thought it was over…. in the middle of a stumping attempt. Or are you inferring stumping attempts shouldn’t happen on ball 6?

@jamiecweir What does trying to gain an advantage have to do with a stumping. A stumping is catching the batter out of their crease, nothing to do with them stealing a run. Can you wander off half way through a stumping attempt by just calling crease.

You can’t even compare it to mankading. It’s infinitely worse. Mankading occurs when the non-striker is trying to gain an advantage by stealing a cheap run. There’s no advantage being gained here. It’s a batter walking down the pitch for a chat with his pal at the end of an over.

If that was the case David, then the umpires should of chatted to the Captain and asked him if he wanted to appeal as he was batting deep in his crease and wasn’t running… He put his foot back to say “in” then walks to see his partner.

@7AFL @Spotify It’s simpler than that. A concussion puts you out till the 12th day. Just apply the same to any subbed out player - out till the 12th day after. Would keep teams honest on any sub, and no policing of reason for sub necessary.
