@JonBrubaker @PallerJohn @EthereumDenver That’s the firm not Aaron Kaplan. His brother Benjamin Kaplan has a CRD number and is on Prometheum Ember Capital as CEO. Aaron Kaplan does not have a brokercheck/CRD.

It’s interesting to me how mainstage content has become so much less attended. It’s happened to us @ethereumdenver, too. Side events are drawing huge numbers away from the main events. Word of caution to side event producers: the more you do this, the more it becomes difficult for an event to survive. Don’t be extractive, be complimentary to the event that makes it possible for you to even host.

@PallerJohn @EthereumDenver For the record not for cancelling anyone but this guy should not be given a platform. Prometheum and especially this guy are a dangerous scam from end to end and an obscene twist of what the SPBD was supposed to be. Try finding him on brokercheck

@thesatisgroup @EthereumDenver It’s not tho. You’d think this is the case but I’ve seen absolute star talks with 15 people in the crowd. FWIW, we’d never even allow this guy on our stages.

@wassielawyer Can confirm that’s a definite thing. Have a footnote half a page long explaining what bearer bonds are for US Federal and State law and whether tokens are or not.

Blocked off some time in the weekend schedule to finish up some admin and invoices. Instead went down a rabbithole considering whether tokens can be issued as Schuldscheine under German law to avoid securities issues. Think it might be time to actually get Ritalin or something.

@PallerJohn @EthereumDenver If you’re seeing that for main stage that’s a shame. I did notice at Consensus last year that the main stage AND the protocol village didn’t get a lot of attention but stage x did and Google appeared to know that in advance/ask because that’s where they set up

@jessepollak They probably failed to show sufficient ties to their home country- US embassy in Manila is known for that - and has some specific requirements. They need to fix that - evidence of property, job, family etc and pick another embassy or get a business to invite them and use the PIP
