🥵The summer is here and we have been suffering from heat for quite a long time now. There are more and more bugs and the sewer system hasn’t worked since October. The garbage hasn’t been collected during all that time either. It is terrible. Combine these things with the smell of decomposing bodies and that’s what life here is like. It is terrible. It can’t be healthy and the things I don’t mention – what it is like to not have sewage for months – is because it is just too painful to acknowledge, dear friends. We should not live like this. Forgive me for welcoming the shorter nights. I can’t wait for this heat to go away. I hope it takes this horrendous war with it..There are no birds here. Well, hardly any. They fled or died. This, and the garbage and broken sewage system, cause more bugs than we have ever had in Gaza. Some of these bugs carry diseases and they frighten us. Some of these bugs’ stings are really bad, too. I had hoped to leave here before the summer. You did everything you could to help me realize this. But then the border closed. Sometimes I lie awake in bed and I think about how incredibly close I was to escaping. And now I don’t even have an idea of how long we will be here. For now, clearly we are stuck. I hope you will help me get through this awful, living hell. I need to. I have to get my kids to safety and they have to be as healthy as possible.🥺Please help me provide for my family. Thousands of internally displaced Palestinians are stuck in Al Shifa hospital right now. They are encircled with Israeli soldiers and tanks and being asked to leave or they will bomb the hospital. How can this happen and no one can stop this?

Thinking of all the people trapped in Al Shifa Hospital. All the people being displaced right now. People who don’t know where to go running away from Israeli snipers, tanks, and airstrikes.

The Israeli soldiers are calling all the displaced civilians in the Al Shifa Hospitals to leave the complex. According to eyewitnesses they threatened to bomb the hospital if they don’t leave. It is 3:00 am in Gaza, where will all of these people go?
