13.11.18 Battalion was 2nd in the Brigade Tug-of-War competition. Played the Rifle Brigade at football and won 1-0 (The War Diary continues until mid 1919)

Arthur Cook ended his diary on 11th November 1918 - during his recovery he was surprised to meet Capt Osborne who he had helped rescue at Preseau - Osborne's last words to him had been "I'm finished" & Cook had been informed he had died of wounds
