Another year, another reminder to thug it out

It's part of the problem with comparing yourself to the internet. Statistically speaking, you'll always be outdone no matter how good you get cause you're theoretically comparing yourself to the whole world and people usually don't show you the struggles they overcame to improve

I try to remind myself that it took them lots of practice & dedication to get to the level they're at now but man... some people are just naturally cracked. At the very least, they're definitely way faster at picking things up than others, it's crazy

Real talk, there are people so talented and good at what they do these days that it feels like it'll take me decades to catch up. It makes me consider hanging it up and just not even trying sometimes

I know it’s probably never gonna happen ever again, but I’ve always preferred the virtual console system to be able to buy a specific title rather than paying monthly for a carefully curated and limited library of games

In many ways, gaming got me through so many tough times in life. I wouldn’t be where I am without it. So it sucks that I feel like I’m at a point where it’s holding me back from my full potential

It’s not even about the quality of stuff that comes out. I’m sure there are great games/shows/movies etc. Just hard to immerse myself knowing the clock is ticking and I could be using that time I will never get back for much more if I play my cards right

Escapism ain’t hittin’ anymore for me. With how much more expensive life is nowadays on top of how much more is required of us just to be able to live somewhat decently, I can’t help but feel like I’m wasting my time and I only have x time left to achieve my goals

To sum it all up, I know with a name like "Stickman Guides" it's definitely fair to expect guides or mild opinions, but I'm sorry I'm just not a robot lol I'll still make & talk about what I want. I just prefer making guides cause it feels meaningful & I enjoy helping people

As much as I love content creation, I don't think I would ever make it my true full time job. It's just too volatile and even if it wasn't, I know I'm just going to churn out trash if I feel forced to upload whatever makes every metric go up. Fuck all that, having flops is chill

Detaching myself from YouTube this time around has been the most eye opening experience for me. With the extra time I've had to learn to pick up different skills, think through things and more importantly really digest my thoughts this time, I feel even more myself than ever
