@JoshDubowAP The contract is total smoke but it does give the Raiders his rights. So if he kills it this year we’ll still promote Mendoza but we have the right to trade Cousins to a team desperate for a bridge QB.

I don't understand how Kirk Cousins didn't necessarily want to be a mentor to Michael Penix in Atlanta but is willing to possibly be that in Las Vegas with Mendoza. I just hope the people in charge of my team know what they're doing

If that player existed, they'd do whatever needed.
But they're bot going to just throw money at players they don't believe are as good or better than what they have.
Plus if you're patient the market will be more favorable

Teams that were interested in trading for Maxx Crosby, including the Ravens, had conversations with his surgeon, Neal ElAttrache, and the Raiders’ medical staff before making trade offers. The Ravens’ doctors — along with multiple independent ones — reviewed Crosby’s MRI. They were unified in the belief that Crosby’s short-term outlook was positive, but there were concerns about the long-term prognosis of Crosby’s knee, per sources. Baltimore believed the risk was too high given the compensation it was giving up.
