@IAmSophiaNelson Im so very sorry for your friend. Please, pass on my condolences. I will say a prayer for her and her family.
English

Tonight I visited my friend who lost her beloved husband. He went out for his nightly bike ride. He was killed by a drunk driver. At 6:30pm he was alive. Present. A great dad. Age 43. By 8:00pm he was lifeless. Dead.
You better live your life. Cause no day is promised. #LiveLife

@BigAmericanNY @Bakari_Sellers I have 2 degrees and lots of knowledge, how about I enslave some young people? I could use the free labor and they might learn some things to help them once I set them free. If I set them free. I might will them to my children. They might never be free to use those “benefits”.
English

"In some instances, could be applied for their person benefit"
I feel like you missed this part. No one said all slaves. No one said most slaves. SOME INSTANCES. What does some mean? Not a whole lot. What does the word COULD mean? That it might. But it also might not. Does anyone know how to fucking read anymore?

My mentions are filled with, “nowhere does it say slavery was a benefit to slaves” and “well, they did learn trades etc and how to persevere through it.”
It’s wild. Brought here against our will in the most horrendous conditions known to man, slaves literally brought skills WITH them, and their strength and perseverance was innate. They didn’t learn these things from their owners.
My mentions are in shambles.

@BigAmericanNY @Bakari_Sellers These are the same folks who attack someone for burning a US flag because it represents the “freedom” their fathers and grandfathers fought for but have no problem justifying the taking of someone else’s freedom.
English

@MeghanMcCain I think you meant to say Donald Trump never wants to be held accountable for anything he’s done when he held the highest office in the land. Hunter Biden is a private citizen. I’m sure there are other folks who’ve done the same thing why are we only interested in Hunter’s case?

@DryerBuzz Im a Black Mom and I’ve never spoken to my children this way! Please, stop taking the harshest, grossest behavior and passing it off as Black Culture. Yes, Black mothers can be tough. We’ve had to be but ignorance is not a synonym for Black.

If y'all wanna make this go viral one more time before we leave this hellsite, this unemployed writer would love the support, since the script is already written.

Well #FilmTwitter I'm going to shoot my shot. I want a spy movie with @michaelb4jordan tracking down his super spy father @idriselba.

@Lizzs_Lockeroom Somebody’s getting their Compton rappers confused!
English

@RealDLHughley What I wanna know is when were white folks enslaved to get those skills/benefits? As if the only way to learn how to be a blacksmith was to be a slave first!
English

@tariqnasheed I feel sorry for that baby! A child should not be used as prop. I detest this!

This type of propaganda has been uniformly condemned by Black activists and others in Black society across the board. The reality is, is video and the activities in it are funded by WHITE corporate entities, and it is primarily CONSUMED and supported by WHITE AUDIENCES.
So the question is, why do the white corporate structures choose to fund this sub-sector of Black society?
English

@Bakari_Sellers That’s what I said. Why didn’t they sign up for the benefits?
English

If slavery was so good, why didn’t white folk volunteer. This is asinine,

Watters: This is historical fact that slaves did develop skills while they were enslaved and then used those skills as blacksmiths, in agriculture, tailoring, in the shipping business, to benefit themselves and their families..
English

@TrollDemonAnon @mmpadellan Silver lining for whom? Why not talk about the benefit to the enslavers? The free labor that they benefitted from, the laws they passed after slavery to keep Black people disenfranchised? All to their benefit!
English

No one is whitewashing slavery or saying it was a good thing.
What the curriculum is addressing is a one-off question as to whether or not there were any benefits at all.
It's about looking for a silver lining in the midst of great suffering and darkness.
This is a hard concept for leftists as they tend to focus only on the negative.
And, yes, however hard it is for you to fathom, there was some benefit for a select few, which they then used for their own benefit.
Maybe you could learn something from them.
English

The whitewashing of slavery continues.
It is pronounced "SLAVERY"
Not "TRADE SCHOOL."
How many lashes of the whip did slaves have to endure while learning those trades?
How many families destroyed when slave masters raped the wives of those blacksmiths?
How many freed Black men were able to actually USE their acquired skills without being beaten or murdered by White men outraged that they had risen above their station?
How many CENTURIES of free labor benefitted the White men who then created a system designed to ensure these blacksmiths, tailors, and shippers could not get loans, or property in certain areas?
GTFOH with the bullshit white-washing.
