Nigerians: “GST should be more intellectually honest and shouldn’t feed its readers with misinformation” GST: “Wow, these Nigerians have been paid by Milo and Cowbell to tarnish our good name”
gst@wearegst

Influencers are being paid to cheer Nigerians toward their own harm. Big food money strikes again. How does FFMP (what is being deceptively marketed as milk here) affect your health? Learn from this tweet and do your own research.

I don’t have any reason to feel attacked. Sensationalism is dangerous. Journalism has ethics. There’s a reason scientific research articles are required to discuss methodology and limitations. This is because data needs context. “The EU does not do it” is not sufficient

I do not like that because everyone felt attacked over this milk issue, you’re casting aspersions on a platform that has been educating people on the ills of the government. What is it about milk that has everyone riled up? It almost seems targeted.

@wearegst you need to let Nigerians know that the Gates Foundation, one of your documented funders, has spent over $2B pushing a specific agricultural model across Africa through its flagship programme AGRA. That model involves transitioning African farmers away from traditional seeds and local food systems toward patented GM seeds and chemical fertilisers produced by Western agribusiness corporations including Monsanto. A Ghanaian farmer described it directly. Our seeds are from this soil. It is colonialism to say what seeds we can use and how to use them. African scholars, Kenyan agroecologists and food sovereignty researchers have documented that AGRA’s approach has increased farmer debt, reduced crop diversity, degraded soil quality, and in multiple countries produced worse food security outcomes than the traditional farming systems it replaced. A Kenyan agroecologist described the model as food slavery. Researchers at The Nation examined thirty thousand Gates Foundation grants and found that more than 88% went to recipients in the wealthiest, whitest nations. African smallholder farmers received a fraction. So the platform running Nigerian food and nutrition content is funded by the same billionaire whose agricultural programme African farmers are describing as a second phase of colonialism that is actively destroying the diversity of the food systems those same Nigerians depend on. You are concerned about what Nigerians eat but your funder is reshaping what Nigerians can grow.

CNG powered 🔥 🔥 🔥 The adoption of CNG aligns directly with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to reducing energy costs, promoting environmental sustainability, and accelerating nationwide CNG adoption as part of the broader energy transition strategy. #NRSNigeria

It is one thing for a President to make appointments; it is another for those appointees to deliver with brilliance and excellence. Today, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, expressed deep pride in Zacch Adedeji, commending him as a key driver of the Renewed Hope Agenda. The President was pleased to describe Zacch as his brilliant boy, a testament to his confidence in his performance and leadership. A data-driven Chief Executive, Zacch Adedeji PhD continues to demonstrate exceptional capacity. Thank you Mr President 👏👏 #NRSNigeria
