The sad thing is that this is the plight of almost every temple city and town in Tamil Nadu. Despite having the largest number of ancient, pristine temples in the country, and despite the immense revenue they generate for the state, these temple precincts are treated like this. The old quarters of these cities and towns are infested with posters, stray cattle, stray dogs, and overhead utility wires. I don't understand why the government doesn't restore and maintain them to world-class standards when they are among the state's biggest sources of tourism revenue.

This is the second arrest by Andhra Pradesh NDA-alliance government in Hyderabad, Telangana ruled by Congress, just last night. Are Telangana police aware of these arrests? Can any one claiming to be police come to any state and pick up people? Shouldn’t there be local police involvement for inter-state arrests and transfers? Are the local police involved in these alleged midnight arrests? Were these arrests recorded in the local police stations? Were they produced before the local magistrate for a transit warrant? Rules don’t matter??
