Today in Minneapolis, ICE agents shot and killed a woman in a shocking incident. Governor Walz has announced the state will ensure a fair investigation, and I am grateful for his swift action. Many of us have seen the horrifying and painful video, which makes it clear that the Trump administration's explanation of this shooting is pure gaslighting. A full and fair investigation at the state level is absolutely necessary.

Here's an idea: This year we do Daylight Savings during the day on Monday. At 2:00 PM all clocks transition instantly to 3:00 PM and we get one hour less of work. I see no problems with this plan.

What an honor to represent @CSUBakersfield and @Team_BCSD, as well as my amazing school @EvergreenBcsd Anytime I have the opportunity to talk to anyone about my career, I always mention my story. How I was inspired by 1st grade teacher all those years ago.🍎

Am I the favorite teacher? Yes! Will you see my kids having fun in class? Yes! I will always put their mental health above everything else. 🍎

This past year has been hard. I’ve gotten a lot of “no’s.” I’ve felt that I’m not “good” enough time and time again. But I’ve grown in spite of all the “no.” I didn’t push forward to prove myself to anyone, but to prove to myself that I am and will always be good enough. 🍎

Students aren’t behind and teachers aren’t failing them. The public is simply trying to measure swimming for speed in the middle of a hurricane.

It’s a new day in America.
