If you’re a drinks writer with any integrity, please kill the Dirty Shirley. We have come so far with giving consumers delicious cocktails, and we are like two more basic bitch drinks away from being in a modern dark age of cocktails. Don’t encourage NYT cooking.

They’ve already done enough with the Espresso Martini. We don’t need clueless people trying to start cocktail trends; otherwise you’re going to start getting Rose’s lime juice in your Margaritas again — nobody wants that. (Dramatic, sure. But 🤌🏼 come onnnn.)
