@SodiqTade So there was momentum in 2022. It ended in hot tears. You're allowed to console yourselves before the election comes.

*OBIDIENT MOVEMENT RESPONSE TO JUSTICE SALAMI'S RECENT COMMENTS ON PETER OBI* Fellow Obidients, We have seen the recent comments credited to retired Justice Isa Salami claiming that our principal, His Excellency Peter Obi, was "unqualified" to contest the 2023 presidential election under the Labour Party. As a movement built on truth, justice, and the rule of law, we must set the records straight and not allow this narrative to mislead the public. *THE FACTS OF THE MATTER:* 1. The Supreme Court Has Ruled: The highest court in the land has already settled all matters regarding Peter Obi's candidacy and his membership in the Labour Party. The issue of his qualification was thoroughly litigated, and the courts did not disqualify him on the grounds of party membership. 2. Internal Party Affairs: It is a well-established legal principle in Nigeria that the membership of a political party is strictly an internal affair of that party. The Labour Party accepted Peter Obi, granted him a waiver, and submitted his name to INEC. No external body or individual has the locus standi to dictate who a party registers as its member. 3. The Timing of the Comments: It is curious that these comments are being made now, long after the elections have concluded and the judicial processes have been exhausted. We must ask: what is the motive behind trying to rewrite history and cast doubt on a candidacy that inspired millions of Nigerians? 4. Focus on the Real Issues: Justice Salami himself highlighted the "inadequacy and incompetence" of some judges and the "tragedy" of the current judicial system. Instead of focusing on a settled matter regarding Peter Obi, the focus should be on reforming the judiciary to ensure that justice is served to the Nigerian people, a core pillar of the New Nigeria we are fighting for. 5. Getting the Facts Right: Peter Obi never partook in the PDP primaries. It is unfortunate that the judge did not get his facts right before going to the press. 6. A Track Record of Integrity: We are talking about an individual who built private businesses successfully, with no criminal record against him. As governor, he left 75 billion Naira in the coffers of the Anambra State Government. He has no forgery or drug-related issues associated with him. Yet, the judge preferred to celebrate criminality over credibility. This is the level to which Nigeria has descendes.Very sad indeed! OUR STAND: Peter Obi remains the symbol of hope for a New Nigeria. His candidacy in 2023 was valid, legitimate, and overwhelmingly supported by millions of Nigerians who are tired of the status quo. We will not be distracted by retrospective opinions that hold no legal weight. Our eyes remain on the prize: building a nation where competence, character, and capacity lead the way. Let us continue to stay focused, peaceful, and resolute. A New Nigeria is still POssible! Signed: Dr Tanko Yunusa For the Obidient Movement Worldwide.

The Burden of Complaints and the Test of Leadership: Can a Persistent Complainant Lead a Nation? Why Peter Obi Falls Short and Bola Ahmed Tinubu Embodies Nigeria’s Strategic Continuity to 2031 Igbos or should I say the Southeastern region of Nigeria are yet to have a reliable, stable, competent, and dogged presidential candidate or a leader who can brilliantly deliver the dividends of democracy to their country and their people. Peter Obi is neither a Biafran nor a Nigerian in political identity. He is a confused man. Peter Obi is a man who is not competent, not confident, not consistent, and he lacks the three basic Cs qualities that make a good leader. He doesn’t seem capable of making any sense of what he’s saying about himself or about his country, Nigeria. His inconsistencies and moving around from one political party to another without any strategy make him appear more like a political loser, wandering around aimlessly, trying to find his feet on sinking sand. From Atiku Abubakar, a serial political failure, to Rabiu Kwankwaso, a heavy political mathematician who understands the real power dynamics and clearly sees how politically fragile Peter Obi is, the contrast is striking and impossible to ignore. Obi, to me, appears vulnerable, indecisive, and deeply confused a man who seems to know absolutely nothing about politics. Put me on a political chessboard with Peter Obi and I will play him out in a second. Obi is far away from being a good presidential candidate or even a vice presidential nominee or candidate. In contrast, Nigeria needs continuity, structure, and a leader with tested political depth and strategic capacity. Bola Ahmed Tinubu represents that vision a leader whose experience, network, and resilience position him to drive sustainable progress. For those who understand the language of power, governance, and long term national development, continuity under his leadership remains the most pragmatic path forward to 2031. Prof. Sandra Duru

Help me understand this: Last year, Peter Obi said Nnamdi Kanu's trial 'makes no sense'. This year, that same Peter Obi goes to celebrate Abubakar Malami, the man who was responsible for, and officially announced the capture of Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya and his rendition to Nigeria, and who also initiated his trial. Please help me make sense of this!

I Fought Abacha, and I Know That President Tinubu Is Certainly Not an Abacha! This is me in the attached photo, taken in 1998. I was being honoured by Bastiaan Korner, the then Dutch ambassador to Nigeria, for my role in fighting for democracy against the despotic and murderous Abacha military junta. The other gentleman is one of the most patriotic Nigerians alive. He is the current editor of Thisday Newspaper. Having fought that despicable regime, I will not sit idly by while persons like Farooq Kperogi and Dele Momodu make unjust and unfair comparisons between that government, if you can call the Abacha regime a government, and the Tinubu administration. Making accusations that the judiciary is "susceptible to political manipulation" without supporting them with facts, data, and statistics is unhelpful to democracy, undermines the trust Nigerians have in their government, and is itself anti-intellectual. I wonder why a man like Kperogi would say such. You shouldn't make such opinionated statements without backing them up, because that assertion is not only false but will also negatively affect Nigeria's FDI drive, as investors do not invest in countries without an independent judiciary. And for Mr Kperogi to say the President is "stealthily but systematically weakening all the political parties that could provide viable platforms for his opponents in 2027" is fallacious. Again, he, like Dele Momodu before him, offers no evidentiary backup for those strong words. But it is not just that. These gentlemen betray both a lack of grasp of party politics and history. Let me start with history. It is not President Tinubu who is systematically weakening opposition parties. No. The truth is that it is the character of his opponents that is ruining these parties. Some of these persons have a history of lacking the patience to build solid structures and of causing dissension, whether they go. For example, Peter Obi began his political career in the All Progressives Grand Alliance after he was picked up by Dim Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, whom he subsequently betrayed. While in APGA, Peter Obi, in a now-viral video, swore that he would never leave the party. Yet he did leave, but not before dividing that party. The chaos he caused was so deep-seated that he was cursed by the then Chairman of APGA, Victor Oye! Please fact-check me. Then he moved to the Peoples Democratic Party and also caused havoc in that organisation by insisting on contesting against his former principal. After splitting the PDP, he joined the Labour Party, which then split into two factions, each producing its own Chairman and NEC. When he had finished destroying the Labour Party as a viable alternative, he officially joined the African Democratic Congress on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. After just three weeks in the ADC, the official spokesman of that party publicly called the Obidient movement a "divisive" mob! And instead of adjusting their behaviour, today, the Obidient movement has released a statement attacking the ADC for calling them divisive! Now, if you have gone through four very different political parties and ended up with the same result of division, quarrels, and factionalism, the question you should ask yourself is this: Is it the parties that are the problem or Peter Obi? How can a man who has divided four political parties in a row unite Nigeria? And how can men like Kperogi and Momodu overlook this and blame the President for the failings of these parties? And then, they also ignore the historical fact that parties in Nigeria tend to splinter when elections are around the corner. This started right from independence and has continued into the Fourth Republic. For example, under our government (the Jonathan administration), when the All Progressives Congress was established on Wednesday, February 2013, an alternate All Progressives Congress was established by some persons.
