There is little question that there needs to be significant improvement in cost of living between here and November for Republicans to perform well in the midterms.
Likewise, that improvement needs to be dramatic in order for Trump’s efforts across a range of policies to be viewed as successful.

I’ll say again, the fact that there are only a handful of competitive seats makes the Republican war chest even that much more impactful.
We watched a test run in Indiana of overwhelming spending.
We will get another test in Kentucky.

I still think that Democrats are more likely than not to win the House majority in November BUT: 1) The Callais decision (and how GOP southern states have moved on it) AND 2) The VA Supreme Court ruling today overturning the 10-1 D map MEAN that GOP likely to go into fall with 8-10 seat majority (maybe slightly larger).
