@vibechekd @thewall @AricToler They could indeed try migrating to a more secure web service(like AWS , because it’s old, but it will be too expensive to do, considering how much data they have. They could also hire better people. But again the cost of managing those servers is high.

So, Google is killing its cache (which was amazingly useful), and replacing it with a third-party solution of linking to the Internet Archive. I really hope the Internet Archive is being paid -- and paid a lot -- for this.
