🚨UPDATE: IRAN REJECTS STRAIT OF HORMUZ REOPENING AS U.S. PEACE PLAN FALLS INTO CRISIS Iran has refused to reopen the Strait of Hormuz as part of any temporary ceasefire deal, a senior Iranian official reportedly confirmed to Reuters on Monday. The rejection comes even as both Washington and Tehran received the framework of a proposed peace plan designed to end escalating hostilities. The two-tier plan calls for an immediate ceasefire, followed by a comprehensive agreement to be finalised within 15 to 20 days. Iran has also stated it will not accept deadlines while reviewing the proposal, and accused Washington of lacking readiness for a permanent ceasefire.
