Incredibly, after all Maccabi tourists had left, last night Amsterdam taxi drivers once again roamed the city asking people "who looked Jewish" whether they were Jewish and to check their passports. The depths are beyond. #Amsterdam

Some background. As a Dutch Jew 🇳🇱, here's what I grew up with: football hooligans singing "we're hunting for Jews", or "Hamas Hamas, all Jews on Gas". They're classics. Our synagogues are walled 3x times over. We go nowhere without guards. I'm more concerned tourists didn't know

So--and this should be most clear--this is *in no way* an incident or recent. This is the reality, for many decades. How can it be tolerated? Well, let's say the Dutch are not really in the habit of...doing things about things. Most things cannot be done, and alas, and oh well.
