Sunday FAFO’ing, built what ‘I believe for now’ is an okey delta neutral maker, orderbook latency is primarily shit (<3s) as I’m testing from local, would likely improve once I deploy and test from vps hopefully ( yes I believe I’m caching orderbook, just incase you want to suggest that to me)
even with shitty OB latency I’m still getting <1s hedge fills, so I think that’s okey I guess, and would improve once ordebook fetching is no longer really a blocking factor. I’m totally new at this so I don’t even think I know what I’m talking about myself, but it’s easier to understand learning/experimenting in live markets, plus all these perp dexes provide an awesome learning curve + free money.
Not targeting actual profits in this version hence me choosing dn, agenda is ‘active participation + Volume + low fees’
So far I have gotten filled quite often although not too often tested spread all the way from 20bps down to 3bps to familiarize myself somewhat with the distances and how likely I am to get filled/guage how comfortable I am ‘actively participating’
And although been short test sessions, I believe I have achieved consistency get those fees smol. Now I need to spend the next week or two experimenting and trying to think about how to factor in an exit plan. At the moment it just loads up till it hits my risk limit, but it does not unwind so I end. Up just holding, which I guess is great for OI, and since I’m hedge I ‘might’ not (given price does not abruptly move 28% up and down within a second) get liquidated. But Yh that’s all for now more updates sooon, any suggestions for a total noob willing to learn would help, it’s been fun. Reading a lot of articles a lot of you out there have put out there
