Growing up, we had Egyptian qurrāʾ lead tarāwīḥ each Ramaḍān. They treated us to unreal recitation on a nightly basis. I can only imagine what it was like when Qari Abdul Basit took the world by storm. What a legend. May Allah raise him with the people of the Qur’an.
