Our local post office. I must remember to clutch my pearls and throw a wee tantrum next time I’m handed a stamp with the king’s head on it or go outside to be confronted by a post box with a crown on it 😂😂😂

@chrisadonnelly The IN platformed Bryson. The NL would never dream of giving a voice to a Republican with extreme views?
English

“A [NI] lacking either the News Letter or the Irish News would be structurally different. There is an equilibrium to having 2 staunchly ideological papers alongside a [Tele] which is open to all viewpoints.”
The Irish News is *much* closer to the Tele than to the News Letter.

The real story of Ben Lowry's sudden departure as News Letter editor ten days ago, involving corporate brutality, newsroom turmoil, questions over the historic paper's future and the new owner's decision that this emaciated paper doesn't need an editor. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/comment/news-a…

Oh! In Monday’s @irishnews Brian Feeney will be pointing out, how it’s all DUP fault.

@arleneseesit Sammy Morrison's post yesterday on the sale of Irish Tricolours in the post office has to go down as the cringiest post of the year so far.

@think__32 It's almost as if there is a sense of disappointment that Unionists are not up in arms about the Fleadh in Belfast, sorry they aren't ....some will attend, some won't. It will have little effect on life in NI by second week in August.
English

There is a real sense of begrudgery around the Fleadh taking place in Belfast.
You'd almost think they'd be happier it didnt take place.
This was something they couldn't stop.

@ulstermanone You do realise that the union flag is nicknamed tte Butcher's Apron?
English

@think__32 In Northern ireland its the flag of the PIRA that killed so many innocent protestants and catholics ---
English

@AlexKane221b Why not unionism/loyalism? Loyalism pulls the strings of political unionism
English

@think__32 If unionism and nationalism/republicanism can’t work in NI then it won’t work anywhere else
English

@AlexKane221b The evidence points to political unionism's continued attempts to frustrate the assembly. Between the poc abuse to pulling it down over the consequences of their own Brexit.
Stormont doesnt work.
Stormont cannot work
Stormont will never work.

@AlexKane221b Unionism will go into a #NewIreland.
It will happen. The more they resist the more attractive it will become to the ordinary unionist voter.
English

@chrisadonnelly With the Fleadh in Belfast the Irish Tricolour should be flown from Stormont
English

Every word of this could be used by nationalists in reverse to object to the Union Flag.
That TUV reps are blinded by their prejudice to the irony should surprise no one.
Both national flags are cherished by people here & will have a place long into our future.

⚠️ Why Unionists object to the Tricolour ⚠️ #TUV
English

@think__32 Unionist councillors did not vote yes simply because pipe band organisers said they didn't mind. They raised concerns about timing, consultation and costs, those issues were cleared up and they voted yes. Two independent unionists voted no.
English

@rabgee101 Wasnt it because the band competition organisors didnt object they had nowhere to go.

English

@think__32 You do know the DUP and UUP voted for the Fleadh in Bangor. Blaming unionists for Casement Park not being built is not factual. The delays were caused first by locals challenging the planning, revised designs, political deadlock, and spiralling costs. Funding the final nail 1/2
English

Where are the unionist discussions within their own community on a possible #BorderPoll?
How many Nationalists have been asked along to state the case for #IrishUnity?
English

@rabgee101 When political unionism would cut off its own nose to spite its face over Casement and the opportunity to host Euros final matches you can bet your bottom dollar this would ve been cancelled had they the say.
English

@think__32 The only one seeing "begrudgery" is someone wearing the cloak of victimhood as usual. The Fleadh is going ahead, thousands will attend, and Belfast will benefit. Not everyone has to be interested, and that isn't opposition. Throw off the victimhood cloak and enjoy the occasion.
