@thinkdefence I saw the official soldier evaluation feedback in 2011. One “parachute regiment” soldier had written (and the team had clearly bought it hook line and sinker) that it was too small as his testicles hung out over each side.

@FTusa284 Think our barmine and mk7 stocks were depleted a while ago. We did purchase a small number of fillable off route mines last year I think

Its not crazy at all, its quite logical. The close terrain makes sense for light role forces, and we can do an awful lot with sensors, mortars and mines, before we even get to close combat. Armour is then preserved for the counter stroke, classic first/second battle doctrine

If UK is really withdrawing Challenger 2s from Estonia entirely, it seems crazy. The DIP, published weeks ago, committed £1.1bn to Challenger 3s for 2026-30.
