Who do you guys have or want to win for tonight's game? I like both teams, but if I had a dog in the fight I'd go with the Knicks- only bc I think the Spurs are the future of the NBA and will win multiple titles. Let them go through some growing pains first, lol. 🤷♂️

@dapples78 🎯 Precisely. And it used to be around there. Smh. Nobody can tell me I don't freakin love Griffey, but his 89 UD prices are cartoonish. I can think of several cards I'd sooner pay 5k for.

@thinkfreely1283 Ignore that shit honestly, there's only a couple of examples of over produced cards carrying a premium... one that comes to mind is the '89 Griffey

@dapples78 Same. I remember expecting a lot more. I don't understand the market sometimes. Then you have things like the "All Aces" Ohtani from 2023 going for $300 when it's a common insert. 🤦♂️

@thinkfreely1283 My son bought me a box for Xmas and I hit this. I was expecting around $50-$70... nope lol Why pay $300 for a box when the rare hits of superstars don't even cover half of the price of a box.

I pulled it out of a blaster and later sold it. Shadow Etch or something, right? $15 is so bad. I think at the time, I got like $25 and I thought that was low.

@dapples78 That is weird. Chrome case hits are undervalued, and I'm not sure why. I had a Jose Ramirez Fanatical I pulled, and it goes for like $10, lol. I mean I get that his hobby isn't the best, but cmon.

@dapples78 You have a case hit Ohtani? Do share! I had like 20 Luka Doncic rookies that I sold that I probably should have kept. Since blasters were literally all $20 back then i could rip so cheaply.

Some day I will continue the project. I stopped at 1993 because it starts to get crazy with inserts and such after that.

One of these days, maybe tomorrow, I will share with you guys my Griffey/Frank Thomas binder project. In it contains the Griffey and Thomas from each set from 1990 to about 1993. It is to show them in parallel to each other, since their careers sort of paralled one another.

@dapples78 Well for now I will live vicariously through your vintage posts 😂 . I look forward to seeing some cool ones. You will see post mainly 90's stuff and then there is another gap (lol) then ultra modern stuff. I took a break with collecting.

@dapples78 Hahaha. Right on. I have a single T206 card, then my collection skips all the way to like 1983 Topps lol. I need to fill in this huge gap someday haha. #hobbygoals
