I voted Trump 3 times but I don’t see it has a thing where I have to be for or against Trump in general. For me, he does good things then bad things and sometimes I don’t like what he does. I’d love to blame him for my investments but I don’t even think that’s the reality.

@Matt_Tremolada I focused on the cerebral cortex and the thalamus to understand consciousness.

Then somewhere in the 1800s or 1900s, we decided to lean into practicality and people began to just see predictability as justification for believing universality, and science somehow became evidence of materialism when in reality even scientists never said so.

I’ve studied the hard problem of consciousness, as well as skeptical philosophy around materialism and idealism on and off for over a decade after basic undergraduate education in philosophy and I can say that almost everyone’s take on AI consciousness is very dumb and shallow.
