One thing that President Bola Tinubu is doing is weakening the absolute power of the Federal Government. He has passed the laws on LGA autonomy He tried with VAT derivation, but failed He is working on the State police He is working on a Driver's License I suspect CAC is next Finally and ultimately, he will allow States to tax the incomes of companies. Watch Ps I support everything listed above

@DuruchibuzorE @ADCNig Of course Obi is not bound to Atiku but reasoning begs the question what his goal was pivoting into the ADC when going into primaries against Atiku was counterproductive.

@thisIsPhakt @ADCNig Like you said it's my decision and I have the right to my own thoughts. Obi is not bound to Atiku. I will not push for a removal of Tinubu to elect Atiku as President. My late dad fit slap me from heaven.

Dear @ADCNig I hereby resign my membership of the ADC. The party I joined with hope has been hijacked to serve the ambition of one man. Atiku has once again shown that his personal quest for power comes before the well-being of the nation. That is not a vision I can align with. Nigeria deserves leadership driven by competence, sacrifice, and genuine commitment to the people not recycled ambition. Going forward, my support is clear and unwavering: wherever Peter Obi stands, that is where I stand. This is not just a political choice, it is a moral one.

Unfortunately, democracy and politicking are symbiotic. Politics is pragmatism - you dialogue, engage, and compromise for the greater purpose. If your "idealism" requires a disregard for contrary viewpoints, then organize a coup and test the state's resolve to defend democracy.
Nemelum@tchinemelum

Let me explain something to you, Atikulates. Maybe intelligent ones amongst you will understand. Obidients are highly IDEALISTIC. most of us aren't politicians, and we care little for your political permutations and calculations. We just want a working country and we see it in only one man. That man is NOT Atiku Abubakar. That is why we didn't vote for him in 2023. That is still why we won't vote for him in 2027. That we chose to work together doesn't mean we don't know what we want out of the coalition. The new Nigeria we speak of has nothing to do with Atiku Abubakar and his ambitions. If you want, tweet from today till election day. You won't change our minds. We will be voting for Peter Obi on whichever party he points us to. Your attempt to reduce PO to a regional candidate is, at best, stupid. Tell that to the 1.5 million people who voted for him in the North Central. Tell that to the 1 million people that voted for him in the South West Tell that to the 1.3m people that voted for him in the South South. This makes your argument fall flat on his head. When you say, "Peter Obi's political career will be finished if he leaves ADC," be sure to know you are talking to the wall We are too idealistic to kowtow to your cheap blackmail. In the end,Nigeria will be OK

We need new hostels, no doubt, but, enforcement measures to ensure TETfund is prioritized by the institutions for rehabilitation of standing infrastructure is equally, if not, more critical.
Dr. Tunji Alausa@DrTunjiAlausa

Breaking new ground for better student living. Today, we broke ground on the NextGen Hostel Residence at Yaba College of Technology and Lagos State University, a major step in improving how our students live, learn, and thrive. This initiative reflects the Renewed Hope commitment of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to strengthen education not just in classrooms, but across the full student experience. Because tertiary education goes beyond lectures and exams, it is also about the relationships, collaboration, and personal growth that happen outside the classroom. With a 1,500 bed capacity and modern amenities including a gym, games room, restaurant, and canteen, this project is designed to provide a safe, vibrant, and conducive living environment. Through this PPP with the Tertiary Education Trust Fund and private investors, we are reinforcing a simple truth, government cannot do it alone. Strategic partnerships are key to delivering the scale and quality our students deserve. The Federal Ministry of Education will also be investing 250 billion naira into the development of additional student hostels across over 90 institutions nationwide to further expand access and improve living conditions. We have also directed all institutions to prioritise the use of their TETFund intervention grants for the rehabilitation of hostels, lecture theatres, halls, auditoriums, classrooms, laboratories, and the provision of WASH facilities. Compliance is mandatory, institutions that fail to align with this directive will not be eligible for funding. To support this ecosystem, we are rolling out an additional 24 mini grids to ensure more reliable power supply across our campuses, and supplying an additional 540 9 seater electric tricycles to 36 schools, 15 per institution across 6 schools in each geopolitical zone, to support campus mobility. Within the next 24 months, both @LASUOfficial and @yabatechng will be home to fully functional, modern student residences, built to support learning, community, and a better university experience. We are not just building hostels, we are building a better future for Nigerian students.

A fiery speech by South Africa's🇿🇦 EFF leader Julius Malema, over xenophobic attacks targeting foreign nationals. “You say Zimbabweans take your jobs. Nigerians take your jobs. You march, close shops and beat up people. Tell us after doing that how many jobs have you created, by beating up these Nigerians, Zimbabweans and Ghanaians? You beat people because they took your jobs. You close a shop that hires people. How many have you created after beating and chasing them? Unskilled men, with no skills, none whatsoever, say somebody took away their jobs. I don't want your votes if you behave like that. Take them away. Pushing out of school an African child that looks like you, I will never do that. You can take your votes. Make me die with my conscience very clearly. I will never refuse a pregnant woman of African descent to give birth in the clinics of South Africa. Never!”

In as much as we want to ask more from the Lagos govt, or in as much as we can argue that Lagos can do more, the truth is that if just 10 other states in Nigeria are half as strategic or progressive as Lagos since 1999, and if their people held them to account half as much as they hold Lagos, Nigeria will be at least 10x better than it is today.
Babajide Sanwo-Olu@jidesanwoolu

We have received a new set of 24-car trains to strengthen the Lagos Red Line fleet. This will improve capacity, reduce wait times and make daily commuting easier for Lagosians. We remain focused on building a transport system that is efficient and reliable for everyone. That is still our goal.
