Sony has raised the prices on their Certified Refurbished PS5 Slim models by $100
>Refurbished PS5 Slim (Disc Drive, 1TB): Now $549.99 (was $449.99)
>Refurbished PS5 Slim Digital Edition (1TB): Now $499.99 (was $399.99)
The older original “Phat” model refurbished PS5 (with disc drive) is still listed at $399.
These refurbished units go through Sony’s rigorous recertification process (tested to perform like new, with a full 1-year warranty), though they may have minor cosmetic imperfections.

Microsoft has quietly updated its official Windows 11 gaming guidance to call 32GB of RAM the “no-worries” upgrade
“16GB RAM is the baseline; 32GB is the ‘no worries’ upgrade.
For most players, 16GB RAM is a practical starting point. Moving to 32GB RAM helps if you run Discord, browsers, or streaming tools alongside your games.
That extra memory also gives newer titles more breathing room as memory demands continue to rise”
They also list it in their checklist as: “At least 16GB of RAM, with 32GB RAM preferred for multitasking.”

@RamblingOnDeck My issue is having to keep an online connection even after I download the digital game. I understand that digital games already require an internet connection to begin with. I'm against always online not needing online to do.. online things.

If this is REALLY true and not just damage control, I won't completely ban the PS5. A one time activation is no big deal since buying a digital game requires online in the first place.

This is just the beginning. Sony's testing the waters by hiking prices in
specific regions first — then slowly but surely, it goes global. Never forget
what they ACTUALLY want from you:
→ Buy a console at the end of its lifespan
→ Launch a game every 30 days or get locked out
→ Pay a subscription just to touch online play
→ Game on the lowest settings and worst quality
→ Smile and nod at "4K 60FPS" plastered on the box
→ Accept that every "Pro improvement" is literally just a software update
they held hostage so you'd drop $1,000 on a dying machine
And then what? PS6 drops and you'll gladly pay way more than $1,000 —
because you already bent the knee. You accepted weak hardware like the PS5
at that price, so you trained yourself to expect nothing better.
Honestly? There's never been a better time for everyone to wake up and make the switch to PC gaming.

I still have no idea what actually happened in this game, and I've played 180 hours on steam. Can't say that translates to a great movie. STILL an amazing game and probably one of my top 5 of all time!

@ResiEvilPod I just say play how you want to. For anyone not heavy on Nostalgia, a newer look at a better resolution will probably be better for you. I grew up with the games since the first one launched and enjoy new ways to play these games.
