This is a very dangerous statement. It is actually excusing murder while blaming the victim. Most of the femicide incidents have happened within a marriage set up, and Sabina can check with the police records to confirm that. The latest case of femicide is of a lady from Western Kenya who was killed by her husband. So, are we also to give counseling and mentorship to married women so that they are not killed by their husbands? What about children who have been raped and killed? Were we also supposed to have counseled and mentored them so that some crazy men don’t rape them? Meanwhile, even if we were to talk about money issues, who kills men who swindle their girlfriends? Who kills men who have their girlfriends or wives take loans for them then refuse to pay? Who kills men whose wives have to provide for their families as they lazy around? How many women have killed deadbeat fathers? There can never be justification for murder. Non whatsoever! Life belongs to God. Mtu akikuchokesha just walk away! No one is forcing you to be with that man or woman. #StopFemicide
