@elonmusk @Keller @farzyness why don't the seats in cars convert to car seats inherently? We shouldn't need 3rd party devices strapped in; the seats should convert

@teslascope @tesla_semi He’s likely referring to robovan, which isn’t exactly what large families in the market for a minivan competitor would need/want. He’s stuck in his own bubble

We already know that @tesla_semi is headed to high-volume production this year. The new Roadster is set to be showcased in less than a month. So could this be a whole new model? What are your thoughts?

@ZappedAU @LudicrousFeed @ryanjaycowan @techAU @TeslaintheGong3 The fact that an American company with some of the most American-made cars is selling one of their most coveted variants in China first, followed closed by S Korea and Australia, is a bit of a slap in the face to very market that fostered its humble beginnings

@Tslachan Wow bigger battery than Chinese variant. This will be a home run in the U.S. So difficult to understand the logic in spite of solving Unsupervised FSD. There are strong Venn diagram markets for both

@Tuggernutz87 @Deandawiz My point stands: until HW4 is routinely driving Unsupervised on 100% stock vehicles, regular owners have a long way to go till they get it

The camera washers are nice but not full necessary. The mysterious hardware is probably telemetry or something along those lines. There is no proof it is something that adds to the driving capability. Remote operators are a thing for every autonomous taxi service. Legal will be one of the biggest limiting factors. I think HW4 could achieve it but TBD

Tesla doesn’t owe any of you shit. You all owe Tesla an apology for thinking they couldn’t do the impossible. You guys are all selfish lmao. If you were running a business, would you really offer the thing that ONLY YOU could offer for free to millions of people? Please remember that ALL OF YOU, had an EXTENDED ability to transfer your FSD to a HW4 for a VERY LONG TIME. Now you are pissed that that ability is gone? You waited too long, the door of opportunity that Tesla so humbly offered has closed.

@AIDRIVR You are right. And Tesla doesn’t care. They see these frustrated customers as expendable pawns in the coming tidal wave of autonomy. Sad mentality shift :(

after this, I will shut up. just please: put yourself in the shoes of a customer that: - bought Model S/X in 2022/2023 (~$140k for a Plaid), or even 3/Y at ~$60-75k - paid an additional $15k for FSD (12 ½ years worth of subscription at current pricing) - doesn't have access to latest FSD versions because HW3 (missed cutoff point by a few months) - can't justify upgrading to HW4 because they’re deeply underwater on their current car - see $15k FSD purchase option drop by nearly half, even though Tesla said it was only going to get more expensive - see a great deal on a Cybertruck with "Free FSD Transfer for loyal customers!" advertised right below the Order button. press "Order." - aren’t chronically online, so miss Tesla quietly changing the terms retroactively - show up (or are about to show up) for delivery in June only to be told “sorry, we’re not honoring that” - then went online to figure out what happened… and got hit with “stop wanting things for free!” these customers exist, and will never buy another Tesla again.

@Deandawiz Austin HW4 cars doing unsupervised are not 100% stock: special camera washers and some mysterious hardware in the rear roof, plus remote teleoperators to get cars out of binds. It isn’t 100% obvious HW4 owners will see Unsupervised overnight “at the flip of a switch”

HW4 will have unsupervised self driving, and those of you that didn’t or don’t believe that will miss out because you won’t transfer it today. HW5 may have better self driving, who knows, but HW4 is literally providing unsupervised self driving rides today in AUSTIN, TX.

@elonmusk What’s with the bait and switch on FSD transfers for orders placed before 3/31?

UPDATE: Last night, Tesla changed its FSD transfer policy (pic on left). You now have to take delivery by March 31, 2026 to be eligible. For people who placed an order before this policy change, including Cybertruck dual-motor AWD order holders: • If your delivery window is on or before March 31, 2026, or it gets pushed into April due to a delay caused by Tesla, the company will still honor FSD transfer. • Tesla will NOT honor FSD transfer if the initial delivery window was after March 31, 2026 when the order was placed. • If your order window is beyond March 31, 2026 or you end up not being able to take delivery by March 31, 2026, Tesla will offer you a refund of your $250 order fee. Before, Tesla's website said: "customers who place an order for a new Tesla vehicle by March 31, 2026 may qualify for transferring FSD (Supervised)." Not anymore. While Tesla always said directly on their FSD transfer website page that the "FSD transfer program is subject to change or end at any time," I’d still like to see Tesla give all $60k Cybertruck AWD orders made before last night’s policy change the option for FSD transfer at time of delivery. Many people placed an order because they thought they would be able to transfer FSD. I’ve deleted the post I made a couple days ago (pic on right) about Cybertruck AWD FSD transfers to avoid anyone seeing that post, but not this update, and mistakenly placing an order. While I did link to the terms page in the thread, I should have added in my first post Tesla’s exact disclaimer wording from the FSD transfer page: “The FSD (Supervised) Transfer Program is subject to change or end at any time." I’m really bummed out for the people who already ordered the $60k Cybertruck and wanted to transfer FSD, even though Tesla is offering order fee refunds. Keep in mind, Tesla can always decide to change the terms on this stuff at any time. People can reach out to any Tesla sales advisor with any questions. They will confirm this info. Link to Tesla's FSD transfer website page: tesla.com/support/fsd-tr…

Unpopular opinion: Tesla should stop playing games with FSD transfers. Let everyone who paid full price and was an early supporter of the software ability to transfer it to new Teslas FOREVER.

This woman rented a car from an online app. The owner of the car always has a dash cam installed in all of his cars. He even told her she could disconnect the camera because she wasn’t comfortable with it. We can clearly see what actually happened in this case, it was cut and dry. However when she reported it to the man and the insurance, she had claimed there was an aggressive driver on the road and they ran her off the road and sped off. She forgot to disconnect the camera so at least the owner was able to see what really happened. Should she be banned from the app or at least charged for this?
