I have started giving python a serious use after spending my entire career using MATLAB and would like to report that I am, in fact, a dingus.

Companys might prefer using purchased tools like MatLab that are supported by a vendor that can be held at fault for defects in the tool. If a company uses an open-source tool like python, they take on responsibility for python working as intended.

@AlexanderRKlotz @PoornimaDrP I haven’t figured out why do we teach MATLAB to undergrads? If they need to learn, why not Python?

I'm very excited to share that we've been awarded a DOE ECRP award which will support the O'Connor Lab @cmu in deploying large-scale simulations to understand the molecular processes that govern polymer self-healing so we can design sustainable, self-repairing plastics.
