but when I'm limited to my ability alone to create ideas i want to pursue, suddenly artstyle doesn't matter
Every piece i draw is a different vibe i want to achieve which is taken from different refs, no piece is the same

I think people looking for an artstyle as their first thing is really detrimental
Artstyle’s born out of your personal way to draw anything, it’s always gonna change as soon as you learn something new, so getting stuck in artstyle comfort zones just stunts your learning

The obsession over artstyle and aversion to studying from life, on Twitter especially, has resulted in a lot of people making generally very mediocre work and not knowing how to actually draw anything beyond their comfort zone Their art then ends up looking the exact same
