Looks like Russell might be staying at mansfield then . Never understand why we loaned him in first place . Yes he was quite lazy at times but he has that eye for goal from getting himself in good positions etc. Quite gutted tbf #mtfc #barnsleyfc

@Cooky_Bfc @devvoisking789 Of course you do. But with the Peterborough owner, they know that they're not going to be let go unless he thinks its a good deal for the club, regardless of if they're on the transfer list or not.

@thompsonben92 @devvoisking789 Oh yeah get that but like, if a team interested know a club is looking to move that player on, they know they aren’t of value to them and therefore know they’re happy to let him go for a fairly cheap price. But surely u want as much as possible for players in general?

@Cooky_Bfc @devvoisking789 What is there not to get? They are players under contract who the management want to move on. That is totally different to a pkayer you want to keep but decide not to because someone came in with the 'right fee'.

@dougokane88 We need questions to be asked at the ownership. Was he forced out? As these comments suggest as much. What is meant by under the circumstances? Not all of what is happening is being told to the supporters. The ownership need to come out and speak.

Barnsley conceded 99 goals in all competitions this season, most since 1964/65, and 73 in league with only bottom club Northampton shipping more while their four league clean sheets is the fewest in English professional football. Huge issue all season they could never solve sadly
