@norzaxxx I wasn't asking for high pay either, but enough to make my rent would have been nice. Even with my credentials, it's almost impossible to find a cooking job offering much above minimum wage.

@thorgonator I don't even ask for a decent paid, just want to use the skills I've been trained for, not a random thing that every normal healthy person can do. But I guess AI reduced 80% of the programmer roles which I was good at. (the number came from some employers)

I've been applying for jobs, asked my professors in uni to be my referees, polished my cover letter and everything. I believe I have the right skills they listed, and then I got > (silence) > After careful consideration... > We have cancelled our recruitment... And they said young people don't want to work(well, I might not be young😅) I was looking for full stack developer, IT desk, customer service jobs since I have years of experience in software engineering. Now I'm just applying for cleaner or factory jobs...

This what people don’t understand. Everyone is praising the wit, the humor, his cleverness. But deep down he’s still a human and a man that was deeply violated and racially targeted. Kudos to his resilience and strength, but no one should have to experience this.

@crimpostor It's an old TV show that was notorious for being incredibly popular, but then screwing up in the final season and delivering one of the most weird, confusing, plot-hole-filled endings you'll ever see, explaining almost nothing of the show's actual plot.

My uni presented a pro gen-ai lecture to hundreds of art students today,most people walked out,complained to the uni head board and proceeded to have a 5 hour debate w the professors I’ve never seen people so unified 😭 i thought I was the only one that cared, there’s hope 😭 🙏

@KernelWerner @ijiOwO It all depends on how they manage their workflow. There's nothing wrong with taking months as long as the artist is transparent about it. If you can't handle the wait, then they're obviously not the artist for you.

@ijiOwO When i found out that some artists usually take months to finish an artwork commission i was baffled like i understand people have lives and they're busy with other stuff but months??? What??? Shouldn't it be just weeks? Wth??

When you find an artist you want to c0mm: - DMs off - DM with no response ever - No links in bio, impossible to find - The heart shattering "I don't do comms" - "Become verified to message this person" - "C0mms closed" every single time you look and the final boss - "NO OC's!"

@norzaxxx But seriously, expecting you to devote every waking moment to it is the kind of thing that could result in you actively resenting what you do, and nobody wants that.

@norzaxxx Nah, I think you're doing fine. Doing other stuff as you go helps to avoid burnout, anyway. You're a human being before an artist, and I'm sure anyone supporting you understands that. And if they don't, they can, as they say in the scientific community, eat a giant bag of dicks.

It might sound bad to my paid supporters that I said my projects are not getting enough fund and I'm doing other things while spending less time on it to keep it run, and I made bad decisions: all of my stuff is free I think it's a bad loop, less people might want to support me for this. I'm a noob and don't know what to do.
